The engineering firm SBS in Trier, which is responsible for inspecting the bridge, will carry out its regular inspection of the pedestrian bridge on Thursday, November 20, 2025.
This requires a chain hoist to be brought onto the bridge. From this device, the underside of the bridge structure will be inspected for any damage (underside inspection).
The bridge will therefore be closed to wheelchairs and strollers on November 20, 2025, from approximately 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Pedestrians and cyclists will not be affected by the closure. Bicycles can be guided past the chain device to cross the bridge. The workers carrying out the bridge inspection will be happy to assist with this.
